Dear brother or sister in Christ,
GPM was founded out of the hurt from our son’s incarceration. I was hurting so badly I didn’t know where to turn. Thankfully, I ran to God instead of running away.
He led me to find peace and healing in the very place where so much hurt stemmed… the prison. The moment I directed my energy to helping others instead of dwelling on my own hurting, I began to find peace.

145 School St, Lincolnton, GAOur home ministry. We visit 1–2 weeks before each holiday with worship in the yard, a message, pod visits, and a quart-size ziplock of toiletries, stamped envelopes, ministry materials, a brownie and pizza for every inmate.

January 2020
A question to a pastor
Marisol asks the Monroe campus pastor what Graystone is doing in prison ministry. “Nothing,” he says, “but we should be.”
August 2020
The call, confirmed
Our founders’ oldest son is sentenced to twenty years in federal prison. Their life falls apart, and God confirms the call.
December 2020
80 bags for 80 inmates
The first Lincolnton Christmas outreach. Socks, stamps and beef jerky, sponsored at $50 a bag, shipped by UPS. Only God opened that door.
June 2021
The vision
A Prison Fellowship article about loneliness in prison says it plainly: the simplest thing is a note from someone on the outside.
January 2022
GPM is born
Four women start meeting every Tuesday at the Loganville campus to study God’s word on prison ministry and plan outreaches.
November 2022
Inside for the first time
Six men and six women minister in person with music, testimony, pizza and brownies. The start of a relationship with the jail.
August 2023
Record sign-ups
Seventeen women and ten men join. Special Kneads and Treats begins baking 80 treats for every single outreach.
January 2024
From four to twenty-seven
GPM grows from its original four to twenty-seven on the roster, and God uses the team’s visits to lead five men to salvation.
May 2025

GPM hosts Prison Fellowship’s Mother’s Day Hope Event at Whitworth Women’s Facility.

48 and growing
Forty-eight active volunteers and supporters, a rotating team of preachers and teachers, and worship joining in September.

Eighty bags. Every visit.
Because of generous supporters, every inmate at Lincoln County Jail receives a quart-size ziplock of travel toiletries, stamped envelopes, ministry materials, a brownie baked by Special Kneads and Treats, and pizza. At Christmas, ten stamped envelopes each.
